
Driver’s Education Course
Our State of New Hampshire-approved Driver’s Education Course at Martel’s Driving Academy provides students with the knowledge, skills, and confidence they need to become safe, responsible drivers both for the road test and for life.
What the course includes:
• 30 Hours of Classroom Instruction
Taught using the AAA “How to Drive” 15th Edition curriculum, approved by the State of New Hampshire. Department of Safety. This engaging, interactive course covers essential topics including traffic laws, defensive driving, road signs, and real-world scenarios new drivers may encounter.
• 10 Hours of Behind-the-Wheel Driving
One-on-one instruction with Amy Martel, a certified instructor, focusing on safe driving techniques, situational awareness, and building practical experience in a variety of road conditions.
• 6 Hours of In-Car Observation
Students observe peer driving sessions to gain additional perspective and reinforce learning.
Together, these components meet the State of New Hampshire's Department of Safety Driver Education Requirements, ensuring students are fully prepared to move forward in the licensing process.

Our goal
Our goal is to create a calm, encouraging learning environment that meets each student where they’re at whether they’re excited, nervous, or somewhere in between.
Please note your student must be at least 15 years and 9 months of age by the first day of class they can't even be shy a day! Also, a deposit of $200 must be made at the time of registration to secure a seat in the class.
Private Drive Times $45.00 an hour or a pre-paid package of 10 hours for $400.00.
At Martel's Driving Academy, we offer one-on-one private driving sessions designed to help new drivers build real-world skills at their own pace — with personalized instruction every step of the way.

• Pick-up and drop-off options (within designated areas)• Flexible scheduling to fit around school and family commitments
• Safe, fully insured, dual-control training vehicle
All private drive time hours count toward the State of New Hampshire’s requirement of 40 supervised driving hours (including 10 at night) that must be completed with a licensed adult over the age of 25 before applying for a driver’s license.
